Board of Ed Appoints New Vice Principal at Summit High School

Michael Lapotasky, an English and social studies supervisor in the Warren Hills Regional School District, will start at SHS in late-February.

The Summit Board of Education appointed Michael Lapotasky as the new vice principal at Summit High School.

Lapotasky, who currently serves as the supervisor of English and social studies for the Warren Hills Regional School District, will replace Anthony Akey, who resigned in late-October.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Nathan Parker joked that Warren Hills is not going to allow the Hilltoppers near its district after the Board appointed Warren Hills' former athletic director Robert Lockhart to the post within the Summit district during the summer.
