Boys Lax Outduels Delbarton In Thriller

Hilltoppers' speed and defense too much for Delbarton in exciting 9-5 win.

Thirteen proved to be a lucky number for the Summit Hilltopper boys lacrosse team as they won their 13th game of the season over rival Delbarton at Tatlock Center by a score of 9-5.

IN SHORT
After a close first quarter, the Hilltoppers scored four goals in the second quarter to open a 5-2 lead against the No.2 ranked Delbarton lacrosse team. When the game's momentum switched to Delbarton after they scored three goals in the third quarter to make it 7-5, Summit took control of the game and never looked back. The Hilltoppers turned on the defense to shut out Delbarton in the fourth quarter and the offense came through with two important goals to seal the exciting 9-5 victory.  With the win Summit kept their undefeated streak alive at 58 straight games.

OTHER KEY PERFORMANCES
 Nick Kilkowski (Summit), scored two goals including a key goal in the fourth quarter; Terry McKenna (Summit) two second half goals; Tommy Celmer, Austin Carbone (Summit) both scored one goal each; Goalie Peter Badgley (Summit) had 5 saves including a key stop in the fourth quarter; and Jules Godino  (Summit) played solid defense.

Clay Haarmann (Delbarton) two goals and one assist; Jack Malloy (Delbarton) one goal and four assists.
