Boys Swimming Season Ends at Hands of Scotch Plains

Hilltoppers advance six swimmers to Meet of Champions in March.

The Summit High School boys swim team season came to an end Friday in the North Jersey Section 2 Group B Finals against Scotch Plains. 

Loring Bowen, Ryan Sebastian, Cameron Simko, and Will Beckett broke their own school record in the 200 Medley Relay. Loring Bowen, Tim Kostolansky, Will Benn, and Kyle Fries earned first place in the 400 Freestyle to close out the 2010-2011 dual meet season with a 9-4 dual meet record. Twenty of the 24 individual events were the best times of the year.

Results:
Loring Bowen; First in the 100 Fly and 100 Back.
Ryan Sebastian: Second in the 200 IM and 500 Free, second in the 200 Free Relay
Will Beckett: Second in the 50 Free and Third 100 Free, and second in the 200 Free Relay
Cameron Simko: Third in the 200 IM and 100 Fly, second in the 200 Free Relay
Will Benn, second in the 100 Back and fifth in the 100 Free
Tim Kostoansky; Third in the 200 Free and fifth in the 50 Free, second in the 200 Free Relay
Kyle Lyman: Fifth in the 200 Free and fourth in the 500 Free
Kevin Fries: Fourth in the 200 Free and fifth in the 100 Breast
Rob Zhang: Fourth in the 100, Fourth in the 100 Breast
Kyle Fries: first in the 400 Free Relay
Matt Bauer, Jimmy Currie, Andrew Aguilera, Kyle Lyman: Third in the 400 Free Relay

Loring Bowen, Cameron Simko, Will Benn, Will Beckett, Tim Kostolansky, and Ryan Sebastian will advance to the Meet of Champions March 5 and 6.
