Lifeguard Certification Course at the Summit Y

Receive your lifeguard certification this winter at the Summit Y. These courses are open to the public, Y membership is not required. Certifications include lifeguard, first aid, and CPR/AED. To enroll you must be at least 15 years of age and be able to demonstrate specific pre-course swimming abilities. There are 5 courses running from March 26 to May 28, and classes meet Saturdays, or Wednesdays and during public school spring break. Fee for Y members is $300; $400 for non-members. All classes take place at the Summit Y, 67 Maple Street.

 The Summit Area Y is one of the area’s largest nonprofit organizations, strengthening the community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Y is accessible to all people. Financial assistance is offered to individuals and families who cannot afford membership.
