Red Cross Youth Leadership Conference

The Northern Jersey Region of the American Red Cross is hosting four Youth Leadership Conferences in four New Jersey locations this summer and is open to students entering grades 9-12. 

Red Cross Disaster Services will present a hands-on overview on how the community responds to a disaster.  Participants will Explore Humanitarian Law which helps students understand the rules governing war. Participants will be trained to present Red Cross Peer Educations Programs.  Attendees will spend time in leadership sessions with speakers from "Spark the Wave" And finally, local government representatives will discuss civic responsibility and show participants how to make effective change within their communities.

The cost of the camp is $100.00 and will run daily from 9am-4pm.  Lunch and snacks will be provided.  All student attendee’s will receive a certificate for 28 hours of community service.
