Registration Ongoing for 'Reading Rhythms' Tutoring Class

Reading Rhythms is a TryCAN program that helps children ages 5 and up who have difficulty with certain aspects of reading, such as decoding words, retaining sight words, sentence structure, fluency or comprehension. The goal of the class is to make reading fun while targeting reading trouble spots.

Students may take weekly classes on Monday and/or Wednesdays, September 27 – December 20 from 4:00pm–4:45pm. Registration is available from the beginning of the program and anytime during the program; if a child joins in mid-program, partial tuition will be charged. Registration is available online, by phone or in person at the Summit Community Center.

TryCAN's activity programs are open to children who have special needs or could use just a little help and encouragement. TryCAN programs are led by certified teachers and trained peer mentors, students from local middle and high schools who give kids invaluable encouragement and support. TryCAN is a collaboration between Summit, New Providence and Berkeley Heights.
