Watchung Hills Adult School Fall 2011 Semester

The Watchung Hills Adult School fall 2011 brochure has been mailed to area residents, and registration has begun for the fall 2011 semester.  Registration is open to all residents and non-residents.  Copies of the brochure are available in local libraries and in the Adult School office, located in the Business Office in the South Building, Watchung Hills Regional High School. 

Most adult school classes are held in the North Building in the Watchung Hills Regional High School in Warren Township.

Among the available programs are: information technology/computers, yoga, sports and fitness classes, social dance, Latin dance, ZUMBA®, digital photography, watercolor, ceramics, beaded jewelry workshops.

The Adult School is also offering the About Boating Safely (ABS) Certification Course.  Upon successful completion of this course, which includes a written exam, candidates will be issued a certificate that is required to operate a power water craft (PWC) or a power boat in New Jersey. 

Programs for teens include: Behind-the-Wheel Driver Training and PSAT/SAT Prep courses by ZAPS Learning Seminars, the Princeton Review, Kaplan Pretest, and Educational Services Center.

Online courses are also offered every month year-round.  Classes start each month: Internet, Computer, Certification Prep, Design and New Media, Writing, Personal Enrichment, Test Prep Courses, Legal Courses, Entrepreneur/Business, Business Administration Management, and Courses for Health Care Professionals.  Popular online courses include: Speed Spanish, Creating Web Pages, Introduction to Microsoft Excel 2007, Accounting Fundamentals, and A to Z Grant Writing.  Online classes are listed at:  www.ed2go.com/watchunghills
