'Full STEAM Ahead' Explores Career Opportunities for Women

Female students at Summit Middle School and High School are encouraged to attend to learn more about careers in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.

The Summit Board of Education and the City of Summit are co-hosting a half-day event dedicated to exploring STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) careers for women.

'Full STEAM Ahead: A Day for Female Innovators' will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1 at Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School.

Board of Education President Gloria M. Ron-Fornes and Mayor Ellen Dickson invite Summit Middle School and High School female students and their mothers, or the significant women in their lives, to attend. Role models, with insight into the areas of STEAM, will discuss career opportunities for women. Breakfast and a networking lunch will be provided.

Information on reservations will be forthcoming.
