Hilltoppers Swimming Off to Strong Start

The Summit Hilltoppers swim team has begun their 2011-12 season.

The Hilltoppers opened the season on Thursday with a meet vs. Oratory. Swimmer of the Meet was Andrew Thieck.

The Boys Team earned second place for the second year in a row at the Big Blue Invitational held at Pingry School on Saturday, Dec. 3. The team scored 436 points to 495 for Pingry. Hunterdon Central and Bernards scored 306 and 44 points respectively.
All swimmers had the opportunity to swim at least two events that evening.

Two new Big Blue Invitational records were set at this year's event.

Ryan Sebastian in the 200 IM 2:12.46 broke Bryan Wilson's record. Bryan just completed is college career at the University of Texas.

Will Benn in the 100 Back 1:00.72.  Will broke the record held by Pingry swimmer, Will Mango.

Cameron Simko was a double individual winner for the mermen, 200 Free 2:01.16 and the 100 Free 56.05.

The Hilltoppers started off the meet in fine fashion earning first and third in the first event, the 200 Medley Relay.
     First Place:  Loring Bowen, Ryan Sebastian, Cameron Simko, and Will Beckett
     Third Place:  Will Benn, Timmy Kostolanskym Kyle Lyman, and Kyle Fries.
