New Boys Basketball Coach Expected to be Named Wednesday
Special meeting was originally scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
In order to appoint a new boys basketball coach at Summit High School, the Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Wilson School Board Meeting Room.
Formal action is expected to take place at this meeting. The board has held several meetings aimed at appointing a new coach after head coach David White's contract was not renewed this spring. White was appointed as head coach after the contract of longtime head coach Eugene Maxwell was not renewed last year following a 7-16 season.
White led the Hilltoppers to an 18-6 record this past winter, the team's best since 2004-05.
This meeting was originally scheduled for Tuesday at 4 p.m. A notice was posted on Monday to announce this change.
