“We need to get out to fast starts against some teams,” said Head Coach John Bertollo. “That was good for us. When we score above 15 points in a quarter, that’s a good quarter.”

Kent Place’s Lara Brachman Goldstein scored six points.

Kent Place will now participate in the Union County Tournament, which begins Saturday, while Oak Knoll will face Cranford this Thursday before the county tournament.

“They are a very good team. They have Jessica McCoy, another 1,000-point player. She’s very similar to Kerri in terms of her scoring abilities,” Bertollo said. “They have a lot of weapons so if we are to beat them, it’s going to be a battle.”
