Summit Schools to Close Early Tuesday Due to Snow

Lunch will not be served and all evening activities are cancelled.

The Summit school district has announed there will be an early dismissal Tuesday as a winter storm warning is in effect for the City of Summit from noon Tuesday through 6 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow is expected to begin falling after noon Tuesday and continue overnight, with accumulations of 5 to 9 inches possible. Temperatures are forecast to hit a low of 7 degrees, with wind chill values as low as -7. 

Lunch will not be served and all evening activities are cancelled, including the evening iPad meeting for the sixth grade parents, according to the school district.
