Baseball

Summit 7, Brearley 6: Starter James Baumeister went five innings and struck out an impressive 11 batters in that span for the Hilltoppers. 

Westfield 7, Summit 4: John Floegel picked up two RBI in the loss to Westfield. 

Summit 4, North Plainfield 2: Starter James Baumeister picked up the win in seven innings of work, striking out six. 

SPF 19, Summit 17: Mike Nitzberg and David Berardi each drove in four in Summit's high-scoring loss to SPF.

Summit 8, Bernards 3: Andrew Oristanio picked up five RBIs in the win over Bernards.

Summit 3, Rahway 2: Andrew Oristanio struck out eight over six innings in picking up the win over Rahway.

Boys Lacrosse

UCT Finals Summit 12, Westfield 1: Alex Salazar only surrendered one goal to the Blue Devils while Austin Carbone (4 goals) and Nick Kilkowski (3 goals) led the way on offense for Summit. 

Summit 9, Delbarton 4: Nick Kilkowski scored five goals in the win over Delbarton. The Hilltoppers scored eight straight goals after the Wave jumped out to a 2-0 lead. 

Summit 8, Mendham 3: Nick Kilkowski scored four goals and Harry McCreary added two in the win over Mendham. 

Summit 17, Mt. Olive 3: Nick Kilkowski picked up six goals and Ryan Bringewatt had four in the big win over a strong Mt. Olive squad. 

Summit 10, Ridgefield (CT) 5: Kilkowski picked up five more goals and an assist in the Hilltoppers' third win over out-of-state competition. 

Summit 16, West Essex 2: Kilkowski remained red hot and picked up six goals in the easy win over West Essex. 

Summit 11, Columbia 4: Nick Kilkowski had four goals and four assists in the win over Columbia. 

Summit 15, Madison 3: Austin Carbone had three goals and six assists and Nick Kilkowski had four goals and three assists in the easy win over Madison.

 

Girls Lacrosse

Summit 18, GL 3: Six different players scored multiple goals for the Hilltoppers as they cruised to the 18-3 victory over Governor Livingston. 

UCT Finals Summit 17, Oak Knoll 7: Caroline Cordrey picked up six goals and an assist while Megan Paytas and Kelly Osmulski each netted four goals in the win over OKS. 

Summit 17, Westfield 13: Caroline Cordrey buried seven of Summit's 17 goals on the way to the Hilltoppers four-goal win over Westfield. 

Summit 14, Shore 9: Caroline Cordrey and Megan Paytas each picked up five goals in the win over Shore. 

Summit 17, West Morris 11: Caroline Cordrey led the way with seven goals for the Hilltoppers while Kate Martino and Megan Paytas each came in with four. 

Summit 12, Mendham 11: Caroline Cordery picked up four goals, Kate Martino three and Megan Paytas had two in the win. 

West Essex 12, Summit 9: Caroline Cordery scored five goals in the Hilltoppers' first loss of the 2012 campaign. 

4/11- No. 5 team in the state

Summit 9, Mountain Lakes 6: Caroline Cordrey scored five goals and Kate Martino added two goals and two assists in the win over Mountain Lakes. 

Summit 14, Glen Ridge 12: Caroline Cordrey scored five goals and Megan Paytas scored three to go along with four assists in the win.

Summit 16, Immaculate Heart 6: Kelly Osmulski scored five goals in the win over Immaculate Heart.

Softball

KPS 5, Pingry 4: Victoria Murphy scored two runs in the win for Kent Place. The Dragons scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth to secure the victory. 

KPS 7, Roselle Catholic 0: Katherine Uhlman struck out fifteen batters in the shut out win over Roselle Catholic. 

KPS 7, Dayton 6: Katherine Uhlman struck out ten batters in seven innings of work.

KPS 6, Summit 4: Katherine Ulman picked up the win for the Dragons in the first round of the UCT, allowing only four hits to the Hilltoppers. 

KPS 16, St. Mary's 5: Caroline Schiavo struck out six in five innings of work in the win for KPS. Liza Kowalki stole three bases for the Dragons and also scored three runs. 

KPS 6, Roselle Catholic 1: Katherine Uhlman picked up another win in, striking out nine in seven innings of work.

KPS 17, Benedictine 0: Starter Katherine Uhlman picked up the win in three innings of work, striking out eight. Nya Earusso led the offensive attack with four RBI and a triple.

KPS 14, St. Mary's 0: Kent Place starter Caroline Schiavo struck out nine in the win.

Girls Lacrosse

KPS 16, MSD 4: Anna Doherty buried eight goals in the Dragons' sectionals win over Mt. St. Dominic.

OKS 11, KPS 10: Claire Cagnassola led the Royals to an 11-10 UCT semifinals win with four goals. Anna Doherty buried seven of the Dragons' ten goals in the loss. 

KPS 15, NP 1: Anna Doherty scored four goals and Alison Hislop put in three as the Dragons rolled over the Pioneers. 

Chatham 19, KPS 8: Liz Gully picked up a goal and three assists while Anna Doherty led the Dragons in scoring with three goals. 

KPS 14, Morris Knolls 12: Liz Gully, Anna Doherty and Allie Rogers all picked up three goals in the Dragons' win over Knolls. 

Glen Ridge 11, KPS 9: Anna Doherty picked up five goals and Liz Gully picked up four assists in the loss to Glen Ridge. 

KPS 9, West Morris 5: Alex Huff made 12 saves for the Dragons in their win over the Wolfpack of West Morris. 

KPS 11, Westfield 9: Anna Doherty scored five goals in the Dragons' win over Westfield.

Villa 9, OKS 3: Kathy Torres ripped a triple in the Royals' 9-3 loss to Villa Walsh.

OKS 18, Roselle Catholic 13: Kathryn Kelly, Alexandria Martinez and Alessandra Moore all drove in four runs in the Royals' win. 

OKS 21, Plainfield 2: Alessandra Moore picked up six RBI and Alexandria Martinez had five and a home run in the big win for the Royals. 

OKS 10, Summit 6: Kathryn Kelly picked up a triple and three RBI in the win over Summit. 

OKS 17, St. Mary 0: Alessandra Moore led the way with a home run and Kathryn Kelly and Arianna Licata each drove in three runs.

Lacrosse

OKS 16, NP 1: The Royals' defense allowed NP to only get four shots on goalie Marissa Diaco, who only allowed one goal. 

OKS 11, KPS 10: Claire Cagnassola led the Royals to an 11-10 UCT semifinals win with four goals. Anna Doherty buried seven of the Dragons' ten goals in the loss. 

OKS 22, Blair 9: Anna Vitton led the scoring with five goals while Hayley Shaffer, Shannon Galvin and Kiwi Comizio each scored three.

Glen Ridge 16, OKS 15: Maddie Smith picked up five goals and two assists for the Royals in the loss to Glen Ridge. 

OKS 18, Morris Knolls 14: Hayley Shaffer picked up five goals in the win over Morris Knolls. 

OKS 16, Immaculate Heart 9: Maddie Smith led the way with four goals and Clair Cagnassola scored three goals to go along with two assists in the win over Immaculate Heart.

Oratory 9, Cranford 8: Goalie Matt Billups made 11 saves to lead the Rams to a one-goal victory over Cranford. 

Oratory 16, East Side 1: Chris Billups, Andrew Kontra and Andrew Croonquist picked up four goals apiece in the win over Newark East Side. 

Oratory 10, Verona 6: Chris Billups picked up three goals and two assists in the win over Verona. 

Oratory 13, Nutley 6: Andrew Kontra picked up five goals and an assist in the win. 

Oratory 13, Edison 0: Andrew Croonquist scored five goals and picked up an assist and Chris Billups picked up one goal and five assists in the win over Edison.

Oratory 10, Old Bridge 3: Andrew Kontra and Jack McKenna scored three goals apiece in the win over Old Bridge. 

Oratory 14, Union City 0: Andrew Kontra had six goals and four assists along with 12 groundballs in the win over Union City.
