Middle School Wrestlers Are County Champs

The team had 5 first-place winners in the Middle School Union County Wrestling Tournament.

Wrestlers coached by middle school physical education teacher Dennis Marcantonio, social studies teacher Kevin Kostibos, and science teacher Casy Fath took home the gold in a weekend tournament.

The champion team members are Thomas Tarantino, Philip Angelo, Steven Salazar, Jonathan Ramirez, and Jeysson Reyes.

Second place finishers were Michael Acitelli, Damion Abrams, Lizandro Borda, and Robbert Faris, and third and fourth place finishers were Teddy Cranley, Corey Golden, Liam Dougherty and Michael Flanagan.

In addition to the LCJ Summit Middle School team, which has a 3-0 record this year, the Summit Schools wrestling program also includes the Summit High School team (2-1) coached by Eric Wachtel and Anthony Ferrante, and a recreational group coached by Paul Deehan, Philip Angelo, and Deen Collucci.  


The Summit Public Schools wresters are supported by Athletic Director Michael Sandor and the Summit Wrestling Club.
