Athlete of the Week: Cris Cafiero and Stuart Humphrey

Cris Cafiero

Cris scored the game-winning bucket in the boys basketball team's second win of the season Thursday night over Roselle Catholic. Cris scored 13 points anf the game-winning bucket with 40 seconds left to give the Hilltopers a berth in the Union County Tournament. Below are his season stats prior to Thursday's game.

• Scored 31 points and grabbed seven rebounds in exciting double overtime game v. St Mary's. Cris hit three clutch free-throws to force first overtime and scored a big three point shot to put the game into second overtime

• Scored 25 points in a close game against Union Catholic
• Scored 17 points in first win of the season v. Hillside

• Has played in all 17 games so far this year

• Averaging 12 points per game
• Shooting 40 percent from the field
• Shooting 34 percent from three-point line
• Shooting 80 percent from the free-throw line
• Has 56 rebounds
• Over 200 points scored

An  Honor Student, Cris has been accepted to three top universities so far and is waiting to hear from 4 others.
