Boys Lacrosse Looks to Defend State Title
Hilltoppers look to extend 45-game win streak at home against Cranford at 4 p.m.
Two years ago today, the boys lacrosse team lost at home to Delbarton, 10-6, in the 2008-09 season opener to start their campaign at 0-1.
They have not lost since.
The Hilltoppers open their season today at home versus Cranford at 4 p.m., looking to keep their streak alive, as seven of their first nine games are at home.

Last season, Summit capped an incredible year with a 6-1 victory over St. Joseph’s of Metuchen for its 45th straight victory (the most consecutive wins ever in state history), in the Tournament of Champions Final on June 5 at Rutgers, to win its second straight state title.
"We have a lot of new faces, combined with a handful of experienced players," Head coach James Davidson said. "Our offense will be the most experienced and our attack is battle-tested, along with our first midline. Our defense is young and working hard, but we need to mature quickly on that side of the ball."

Junior attacker Nick Kilkowski and senior attacker Mike Ford return to lead Summit’s offensive attack. Kilkowski had 37 goals and 24 assists last season, while Ford had 30 goals and 14 assists. Senior attacker Sonny Round and senior midfielders Tim Yager and Terry McKenna also netted double digit goals in 2010.
