Boys Lacrosse Team Bests Chatham 9-2 at Cougar Field

Summit LAX outshot its rivals to continue the momentum of a dominant season

The Summit Boys Lacrosse team continued its winning season, defeating Chatham 9-2 last week in one of the team's most challenging match-ups of the season thus far, NJ.com reported on Saturday.

Under the direction of head coach Jim Davidson, the squad managed to score at least two goals in each quarter of the game, according to NJ.com, ultimately adding yet another "W" to what is shaping up to be a dominant season.

Last year, the Summit Boys Lacrosse team finished the season with a 20-1 record and the school's fourth consecutive State Championship win.

According to NJ.com, Summit "held the ball for most of the first quarter and outshot Chatham, 7-1." The team "continued its dominant play with five second-half goals. Matt Maier scored to make it 5-0 early in the third quarter."

The Boys Lacrosse team will take on Delbarton at home on April 24 at 4 p.m. followed by West Morris Central on April 27 at 11 a.m., at tatlock Field in Summit.
