Summit Football Worth Price of Admission, Coach Says

This year's team has a lot of depth, ready to defend state title, according to coach.

The Summit High School football team was hard at work Tuesday afternoon preparing for the season opener which kicks off at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12 in Somerville.

Head coach Kevin Kostibos said he and the team are very excited for the new season, which he anticipates being a "very competitive" one as the Hilltoppers defend their state championship title. The team defeated Palisades Park with a 30-0 shutout at MetLife Stadium in 2012.

"Every game's a big game," said Kostibos of this year's schedule. "Week-in and week-out, it's always a tough opponent. The best thing I can say is 'please come out and take a look at the new Hilltoppers. Enjoy what you see, cause it'll be worth your money."
