In a rare opportunity, the Summit Hilltoppers will take on the Cranford Cougars once again this season in the second round of the state football playoffs. The teams face off at 1 p.m. Saturday at Tatlock Field.

The Hilltoppers continued their winning streak, beating Gov. Livingston, 34-14, Saturday in the sectionals. The Cougars defeated Palisades Park on Friday night, 47-21 moving them on to the next round.

Cranford, now 7-3, will face the undefeated and second-seed Hilltoppers.

Summit has won 22 consecutive games, which is the longest current winning streak in New Jersey, according to NJ.com. The Hilltoppers defeated the Cougars back in September, 48-7.
