MLB, Pitch, Hit and Run Cempetition ages 7 to 14

The Summit Y and Summit Junior Baseball will hold a Pitch, Hit and Run Competition on Sunday, April 11 at the Summit High School lower athletic field. 

This is a free event open to girls and boys ages 7 through 14, and is the official youth skills competition of Major League Baseball. 

 Registration runs from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, competition begins at 12:00 pm. Finalists on the national level will attend the 2010 MLB All Star Game in Anaheim, California.

There are four levels in the competition for ages 7 to 8, 9 to 10, 11 to 12 and 13 to 14. Age is determined as of July 17, 2010. Valid birth certificate or baptismal records are required at registration.

Pitch, throw strikes to a designated target;

Hit, hit from a stationary batting tee for distance and accuracy;

Run, sprint from 2nd base to home plate for time.
