Former Oak Knoll Students Selected to Join U.S. Field Hockey Team

Michele Cesan and Teresa Benvenuti were selected.

A pair of graduates from Summit Catholic high school Oak Knoll School have been selected to join the U.S. Women's National Field Hockey squad.

Michele Cesan, a 2009 graduate, and Teresa Benvenuti, a 2012 graduate, were selected after an extended invitational camp in Norfolk, Va. by head coach Craig Parnham.

Both athletes attend Princeton University.

“[Michelle and Teresa] are not only wonderful role models, but also an inspiration to many of our current athletes at Oak Knoll,” Ali Sumas Good ’95, varsity field hockey coach, said. “They are still very connected to our program, coming back and visiting with the team. The USA field hockey national team has selected not only remarkable athletes but also remarkable women to represent their country. I am just thrilled for the both of them.”
