Hilltoppers Roll Past New Providence

Seniors Round and Ford score three goals each to extend Summit winning streak to 57 games.

The Summit Hilltoppers won their 12th game this season with a dominating display of offense and defense as they cruised to a 16-1 win over New Providence at Summit's Metro Homes Field.

IN SHORT
The Hilltoppers started the first quarter with a seven goal offensive barrage that took the New Providence squad out of the game early. Summit's hard checking defense also kept New Providence from getting off any good shots to the net until the end of the second quarter when Richard Nelson fired in the only goal of the game for the Pioneers.

In this complete game victory, which kept Summit's amazing winning streak alive at 57 games, eleven different players scored goals including three goals each from Sonny Round and Mike Ford. Every player on the Summit team was rotated into the game and contributed to the 16-1 win.

Mike Ford (Summit), three goals and one assist; Nick Kilkowski (Summit), two goals and four assists; Ryan Bringewatt, Mike Badgley, Tommy Celmer, Nick Kitsos, Matt Maier, Chris McNally, Jefff Wycoff and David Kalin, all had one goal each (Summit).

Richard Nelson (New Providence) scored the only goal for the Pioneers. Goalie Brian Valerio (New Providence) had nine saves.
