IN SHORT
The Hilltoppers expected Mendham to play a tough game, so they made sure to play aggressively early on.  Despite rainy conditions, the boys played well through the first half and took the field in the third quarter leading 7-1.  However, in the second half, Mendham played with more control and a quick burst of goals startled the Hilltoppers by pulling to within four goals.  In the end, Summit picked up their defensive game and walked away with another win.

THEY SAID IT
"In the end we played a little sloppy, and Mendham is a really well-coached team.  They played a solid game with nice execution in this tough weather.  But we knew they'd be tough, so that's why we tried to jump out to an early lead."–Head coach Jim Davidson
