Summit Baseball Falls 1-2 to Union Catholic in 1st Round of County Tournament
The Hilltoppers scored one run in the second inning but ultimately lost to Union Catholic.
Ninth-seeded Summit Hilltoppers struck out in Saturay's match-up against eighth-seeded Union Catholic in an away game that featured Ron Carbone, Sean Guida and Eric Kaufman taking turns on the mound against UC's pitcher Ryan Kahn.
Andrew Aguilera scored one run for the Hilltoppers in the second inning, NJ.com reported following Saturday's game.
According to the NJ.com website, the Quarterfinal round of the Union County tournament is scheduled for May 1. "All three rounds will be held at the home field of the higher seed," the website reported.
