Summit Football Remains Undefeated Following Warren Hills Victory

Up next: The Hilltoppers will face Delaware Valley at 2 p.m. Saturday at home.

Fans of the Summit High School football team braved the cold Friday night and were rewarded with yet another win for the Hilltoppers.

The team took on the Warren Hills Blue Streaks in Washington Township and came out on top, winning 49-28, bringing their record to 7-0 on the season.

Three minutes prior to the end of the first half, Hilltopper Jonathan Ramirez, a sophomore, suffered a broken leg.

"This was a great high school football game," said head coach Kevin Kostibos. "It was incredibly physical and with that physicality comes injuries. Jonathan Ramirez broke his femur bone and will not return for the rest of the year. He will make a full recovery and be back for next year. Our prayers are with him and his family."
