Three School Records Broken At Swimming Meet of Champions

Tim Kostolansky, Will Beckett, Will Benn, and Loring Bowen placed 18th, 14th, 11th, and sixth overall in the state.

The 100 back stroke was broken by both Will Benn and Loring Bowen,with Loring setting a new school record. We apologize for this error.

Three swimming records were broken this weekend at the swimming Meet of Champions.

In the 200 Medley Relay, Loring Bowen, Ryan Sebastian, Cameron Simko, and Will Beckett swam a season best 1:39.64 to lower their school record set earlier this season. The 200 Medley Relay team earned eighth in the state.

In the 200 Free Relay Loring Bowen, Tim Kostolansky, Cameron Simko, and Will Beckett swam a 1:31.37 to break the 1996 Summit High School record set by Jamie Anthony, Jeff Kendellen, Cooper Kramer, and Ian Bowman. The 200 Free Relay earned 15th place.

The 100 back stroke was broken by both Will Benn and Loring Bowen,with Loring setting a new school record.

Bowen, Simko, Will Beckett and Will Benn all returned on Sunday to swim in their respective individual events. 

In the 100 butterfly, Bowen and Simko came in 9th and 13th places respectviely.  Will Beckett swam to a 14th place in the 50 Free.  Ryan Sebastian placed 16th in the 200 IM.  Tim Kostolansky, Will Benn, and Loring Bowen placed 18th, 11th, and sixth overall in the state.
