Undefeated Summit Football Blasts Rival Cranford

Hilltoppers kick off alumni weekend with a win against the Cougars.

Hilltopper Weekend got off to an exciting start as Summit's football team continued its winning streak Friday night under the lights at Investors Savings Bank Field Tatlock Park.

Facing rival Cranford, Summit dominated, scoring two touchdowns by the end of the first quarter and coming out of the first half leading 48-7. Cranford scored again in the third quarter but it wasn't enough to topple the Hilltoppers who are now 3-0 this season.

"Our kids played incredibly well and had an entire community supporting them," said head coach Kevin Kostibos. "This was a great night not only for the team but for the town as well."
