Belmar's annual weekend event runs Friday 4p.m.-8p.m., Saturday 11a.m.-7p.m., Sunday 11a.m.-7p.m. Admission is free.

The 26th Annual Belmar Seafood Festival kicks off Friday, June 8, at Silver Lake Park at Fifth and Ocean Avenues.

The borough's marquee event, presented by the Belmar Tourism Commission, will run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Visitors can expect the state's top restaurants, craft wines and beers, a children's activity tent and live music, organizers said.

There will be free-to-ride shuttles running through town all weekend, officials said.

Four continuously-running shuttles will make stops at the marina, downtown area (Fifth Avenue and Main Street), train station and festival grounds, officials said.

Admission to the festival is also free.

Parking, however, could be a premium as visitors not taking public transportation into town are encouraged to park in the metered spaces along Ocean Avenue, or anywhere near a shuttle stop to prevent heavy traffic near the festival.
