Summit Family Aquatic Center is Looking for Lifeguards

The Summit Family Aquatic Center is looking for qualified lifeguards.

The City of Summit’s Family Aquatic Center is in search of qualified Lifeguards for the 2013 Season. Applicants must hold current American Red Cross Certification as Lifeguard and CPR.

All interested applicants must be at least 16 years of age and in possession of their certifications at time of hire. The Summit Family Aquatic Center is an award winning facility with a staff of over 50 employees.

Most Lifeguards stay with the City for most of their High School and College careers and receive annual increments for each year of service. Safety is paramount at the Summit Family Aquatic Center. Drills and rescue exercises are practiced regularly.

Pay starts at $8.00 per hour but those with experience may start at higher rates. Adults and retired individuals may also enjoy this great work environment. Applicants must be willing to work both weekdays and weekends. 

The Summit Family Aquatic Center is located at 100 Ashwood Avenue, next to Jefferson School. It has a long course main pool with a diving well, diving board, drop slide and a large serpentine slide. The Family Leisure Pool is a zero depth entry pool with interactive children’s play equipment. A sand volleyball court, basketball court and children’s playground complete the facility. Sharkey’s Snack Shack is also available for lunch, dinner or snacks. 

The Summit Family Aquatic Center Lifeguards receive complimentary uniforms, training and incentives for exceptional service all summer long. If you are interested in a great summer work experience, this job is for you.
