A Red White and Blue 'I Do' For Summit Employees

The Fourth of July holiday will surely carry extra meaning from here on out for longtime Summit employees, Cynthia Steele and Tim McNamara.  This patriotic duo is set to tie the knot this Friday, July 4th, 2014.  As current employees of the Summit Family Aquatic Center, the two will be honored with a separate ceremony on Wednesday, July 2nd at 1:00 PM, weather permitting, on pool properties with none other than Shark Diddy, beloved SFAC icon, prepared to officiate the mock wedding.  Members of the SFAC and their guests are cordially invited to attend and enjoy a special treat following the ceremony.

Both Cynthia and Tim are proud graduates of Summit Senior High School.  Having graduated two years apart, the couple first became acquainted after high school at a party for a mutual friend.  Cynthia, a longtime lifeguard with the SFAC also works with the Summit Area YMCA.  She was recently named Senior Lifeguard with the SFAC.  Tim, a Maintenance Tech for the SFAC, is also an active reserve Marine.  He is presently pursuing a college degree in Fire Science Technology from County College of Morris and has just been made a volunteer firefighter with the Summit Fire Department.

All SFAC members and guests are welcome to attend tomorrow afternoon’s ceremony in celebration of Cynthia and Tim.  Please stay tuned for pictures following the ceremony on the Summit Department of Community Programs website at www.cityofsummit.org/recreation
