Still looking for the perfect summer job? Consider becoming a lifeguard with the "City's Hottest Place to Cool Off," the Summit Family Aquatic Center (SFAC), located on 100 Ashwood Avenue. Gain valuable work experience all while working within a close-knit team of guards. There's no better summer job and no better place to be during the summer months, than at the SFAC.
Applicants must be 16 and older in order to apply. Applicants must also undergo the completion of a Red Cross Certified Lifeguard Training Course and must receive CPR/AED Certification once accepted for the position. Lifeguards are primarily responsible for maintaining the safety of all patrons entering the SFAC as well as for helping to maintain the property. More experienced guards may also have the opportunity to participate as an instructor with Sharkey's Swim School, the Summit Sharks Swim Team, or as a private swim instructor upon gaining WSI - certification.
For more information about becoming a lifeguard with the SFAC, please contact the Summit Department of Community Programs (DCP) at 908-277-2932 or visit us online at www.cityofsummit.org/recreation. Join the SFAC team and apply online or in person at the Summit DCP, 100 Morris Avenue, today.
