Summit DCP Supports Community Food Bank of New Jersey

Summit Community Programs is encouraging everyone to get into the “spirit of giving” a little early this year.

In an effort to support the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, Summit residents are encouraged to donate canned goods or non-perishable food items at any of the selected drop-off locations.  To continue with the Thanksgiving theme, Free Birds will be shown on the big screen on Thursday, July 31st at 8 PM on Summit’s Village Green.

Look for specially marked Free Birds Food Drive bins at the upcoming showing of Free Birds as part of the Screen on the Green Outdoor Movie Series for a chance to contribute.  Movie-goers who donate on this night will also be entered into a prize raffle.

Unable to attend next week’s movie night?  Donations can be made all summer long at any of the following locations throughout town including the Summit Family Aquatic Center – 100 Ashwood Avenue, City Hall (Police Desk) – 512 Springfield Avenue, MONDO Summit – 426 Springfield Avenue, and Summit Community Programs – 100 Morris Avenue.

Donations will also be accepted online 24/7 by visiting http://support.cfbnj.org/goto/SummitNJDCP.  Support the Community Food Bank of New Jersey and donate today.
