Affordable Housing Proposal, Celebrating Summit Teacher's Artwork This Week

King's will host a customer appreciation event Friday in honor of its newly-renovated store.


The City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall. On the agenda is 'Proposed Affordable Housing Trust Fund Agreement with Our House Foundation to purchase 43 Glendale Road for Use as Supportive Housing for $400,000.' The goal of Our House, Inc. is to promote a high quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities, according to its website.


The Akian family of Summit will host the 4th Annual Ride-4-Avi Motorcycle Ride and Community Barbeque on Sunday in honor of their son, Avedis, who is battling ataxia telangiectasia, a progressive neurodegenerative disease.


The Summit Board of Education will host its regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Summit High School Library/Media Center.

An opening reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mondo Summit in celebration of Don Standing; Ful Circle, drawings, photographs, paintings.  Check back with Patch for more about the event later this week.
