Budget Presentations Continue at Board of Ed Meeting This Week
Summit readies for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
The Springfield Avenue entrance to the Tier Garage will be closed on or about Monday for several weeks. During that time, please use the Maple Street entrance to garage.
Summit High School Operation Smile's Annual Fashion Show will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The Beacon Hill Tavern is raising money for the Summit Area YMCA on Tuesday. The restaurant will donate 15 percent of the bill, including food, beverages, take out orders, and gift cards, plus all cash tips received by guest bartenders.
The Summit Board of Education will continue its budget presentations when it meets at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Lincoln-Hubbard. At Thursday's workshop meeting, the Board heard presentations on the personnel and capital equipment budget and athletic budget.
Wondering when the Summit Farmer's Market will begin or Spring Street Fair will be held? Summit Downtown Inc. has announced the dates for its 2014 events. Patch will run a feature on these happenings, including SDI's 6th annual Restaurant Week, later this week.
