Summit Honors Martin Luther King, Jr. This Week

Full-day, tuition-based kindergarten applications are due Tuesday.

Summit's 16th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service is planned for Monday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at several locations in Summit. For a full list of events, click here.

The Department of Community Programs, in collaboration with the Summit PAL, is proud to present TryCAN Families at the Movies from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Monday at the Summit Community Center.

The Summit Common Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. The meeting will include the swearing in of Summit Police Sgt. Matthew Buntin. For the complete agenda, click here.

Parents and guardians wishing to submit their applications for full-day, tuition-based kindergarten have until Tuesday to do so. For more on the process, click here

The works of local artists will be on view at Overlook Medical Center beginning Thursday. The Summit school district will celebrate its third annual art show with an opening reception from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday. The show will run through March 20.

The Stony Hill Players present Mozart's comedic masterpiece, sung in English and set in modern day New Jersey. The plot of The Marriage of Figaro covers a single day's crazy antics in the mansion of a Senator.
