Coat Drive Benefits Family & Children's Services

Italian American Club is collecting coats at 146 Morris Ave. in Summit through Sunday.

Helping those in need stay warm this winter, the Italian American Club is hosting a coat drive through Sunday.

Coats can be left inside plastic bins at 146 Morris Ave. in Summit. Items collected will benefit Family & Children Service's, an independent, non-profit behavioral health and social services agency based in Elizabeth, which serves Union County and the surrounding area.

"Their mission is to strengthen families and individuals by providing comprehensive personalized behavioral health and social services with a priority on serving those most vulnerable," coat drive organizer and Italian American Club secretary John Caruso explained. "Founded in 1893, the agency focused its efforts on protecting children, youth, and disadvantaged families."
