From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, the Overlook Auxiliary Kitchen Tour will showcase seven beautiful homes in Summit in support of Overlook Auxiliary's mission to help children with cancer and blood disorders.
The Overlook Auxiliary Kitchen Tour has been raising money for different areas of Overlook Medical Center for more than two decades. All proceeds from this year’s tour will benefit The Valerie Fund at Overlook Medical Center.

Summit Mayor Ellen Dickson, a proponent of the Summit Free Market, will host an event at her home at 7 p.m. Friday to introduce the Summit Conservancy, a group that will help the market in its efforts to build a permanent structure at the Transfer Station. The Annual Summit PAL Halloween Parade will take place Saturday at the Bouras Parking Lot, located at 25 DeForest Ave. Parade assembly will take place starting at 3 p.m. The parade begins marching down Beechwood Road at 3:30 p.m. and ends at the Village Green. Refreshments will be served on the Green during the Prize Ceremony, which honors costume winners in various categories including Cutest, Scariest, Best Sports Figure, and more.
Following the parade, the community is invited to a free spooktacular Halloween concert hosted by Central Presbyterian Church. The concert begins at 5:15 p.m. Attendees will learn about the origins of Halloween and the classic tunes that accompany the holiday as organ music rattles the Sanctuary's rafters.
