NJ Education Official Visits Summit, SHS Football Defends State Title This Week

Summit High School football team heads to the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 2, Group 3 state finals Friday night.

Dr. Bari Erlichson, assistant commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Education, will discuss national and state developments in public education, which will directly impact studentsfrom 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School.

The Summit Common Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall. To view the meeting's agenda, click here. 

Check back with Patch for a preview as the undefeated Summit High School football team heads to the state finals Friday night at Kean University. The defending champion Hilltoppers take on the Parsippany Hills Vikings at 7 p.m.  

PAINT-A-PALOOZA 2013 starts at 6 p.m. Friday at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey.
