Primary Center Tours, Toy Drives Set for This Week

Board of Ed workshop meeting will be Thursday evening.


A tour of Wilson Primary Center will take place at 8:45 a.m. Monday, while a tour of Jefferson Primary will be held at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday. Additional tours will be offered Tuesday, Jan. 7 at Jefferson and Wednesday, Jan. 8 at Wilson. For tour reservations, please call: 908-918-2175 ext. 0 (Wilson Primary) or 908-918-2160 ext. 0 (Jefferson Primary). Those considering submitting an application for full-day, tuition-based kindergarten are welcome to take a tour.

The Board of Education will hold a workshop meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Wilson Primary Center. 

Temple Sinai Free Class -- A Day in the Life of a Preschooler: A free class for children ages 1 to 4 and their parents or caregivers will be held at 9:45 a.m. Friday. Children will enjoy art activities, sensory table and fine motor play, and music while you meet and socialize with other parents.  Director Amy Damast and teacher Marcy Byer will be available to answer questions about the ECEP’s preschool, 2014 summer camp, and Toddler & Me program. 

Toy Drive and Meet & Greet with Santa at Weichert, Realtors: The local community is invited to drop by the office on Friday, between 12 noon and 3pm for a 'Meet and Greet' with Santa. Attendees are again encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys.

Annual Toys for Tots Collection Underway in Summit: Through Wednesday, Dec. 18, donate new and unwrapped toys around Summit at the following locations: 

  • City Hall: 512 Springfield Avenue
  • Summit Fire Department: 396 Broad Street
  • Summit Post Office:  61 Maple Street
  • Starbucks: 2 Beechwood Road
  • Bouras Properties: 25 DeForest Avenue
  • The Sweat Factory: 485 Springfield Avenue
  • Peapack Gladstone Bank: 50 DeForest Avenue 
  • Lakeland Bank: 510 Morris Avenue
