Since I discovered Summit Eye & Optics, I have been telling my friends about Dr. Seiler's shop. Dr. Seiler is the best optometrist I have ever met. I had a very good experience shopping my first pair of Thom Browne frames recommended by the doctor. He is honest, sensitive, very friendly, very easy to talk to. He takes his time to do good eye exam. He is very knowledgeable, and really appreciate his clear explanation of my eye condition. Summit Eye and Optical has a phenomenal selection of high-end, trendy glasses. The variety is better than most NY city stores. Dr. Seiler's sense of style and expertise gives our family excellent service. He is a doctor who loves his job and cares about his patients.

I asked Dr. Seiler a question about possibly buying diving goggles online and had to endure a lecture about how he'd spent "hours" researching goggles for me and about his patients who are cheap and/or stupid. Dr. Seiler was rude, and after he gave me my prescription, I sent him an email saying that was no way to to business; he responded that he was insulted I would consider buying eye-gear online. Then he sent me a certified letter severing our doctor-patient relationship. My prescription turned out to be faulty, but I would rather spend the money going to another doctor than set foot in his store again...
Dr Seiler already moved to 323 Springfield Ave, Summit. There is a parking lot behind his office.

Dr Seiler diagnosed me with keratoconus over 20 years ago. Keratoconus is a progressive disease of the cornea which results in really, really bad astigmatism. There is no cure except an eventual cornea transplant but it can be managed if you find someone who is skilled in prescribing contacts and glasses for really challenging eye conditions. I was truly fortunate to find Dr Seiler who was never put off by the difficulties my situation presented. Instead, he is painstaking and amazingly skilled in giving me the best vision possible in a frequently changing and generally deteriorating eye condition.
Dr Seiler is enthusiastic about what he does and is always up to date with the latest research and technologies concerning eye health and vision. I have been treated by specialist physicians over the years and I think it is significant that Dr Seiler was held in the highest regard by all of them.
If you want to get the very best vision possible, while also protecting and maintaining the health of your eyes, I highly recommend Dr Seiler.
