A great feature of HomeTowne TV is its local news program. It airs four times every day at 7am, 11am, 7pm and 11pm. It's updated every week.

HomeTowne Television is Summit's local public access cable channel, and it's broadcast on channel 36 in homes served by Comcast cable and on channel 33 on Verizon systems.
The station provides emergency notices, and covers municipal government and candidate forums, community events, education, sports, religion, health and fitness, and arts and entertainment as well as features on local business and youth-oriented after-school specials.
The channels broadcast all meetings of the Summit Common Council and the Board of Education. The coverage is re-broadcast later as well.
Many of the station's programs are also available on demand, at no charge, on its website.
