Get Jersey Shore-Ready on a Budget

The Junior League of Summit is holding a Beach Blast!

Summer is coming, and the Junior League of Summit (JLS) is helping savvy shoppers buy beach items on a budget. Second Time Around, the thrift shop operated by JLS will unveil the first wave of summer merchandise. The annual Beach Blast event, featuring affordable summer clothing for women, men and children will be held on Thursday, May 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m; Friday, May 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; and Saturday, May 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A selection of summer clothing and accessories, including bathing suits, cover-ups, sunglasses, sandals, T-shirts, shorts and beach towels, for men, women and children will be available at a fraction of department store prices. “Summer is just around the corner. With weekend forecasts calling for sunny, clear skies, what better time is there to head down the Shore? Looking for tips on which beach is best for you and the family? We've got that right here. Looking for something to do while you're nursing that suntan? Check out the events below! Asbury Park's Convention Hall, 1300 Ocean Ave., will open its doors to the Murder Beach Militia vs. the Right Coast Rollers in a roller derby smackdown that will help determine which group of hard-hitting girls make it to the Jersey Shore Roller Girls championship this fall.
