Coming off a championship season, four Summit High School football players are heading to separate Division 1 schools this fall.

Four of Summit's senior football players signed national letters of intent to play college football on Wednesday morning at Summit High School. After winning the state championship in December, it's been a year of highs for these student athletes. Place-kicker Mike Badgley will attend University of Miami. Linebacker Nick Liberato will attend Sacred Heart University in Fairfiled, CT. Running back/linebacker AJ Iarussi will attend UPenn where he has also been accepted to the Wharton School of Business. We caught up with some former Hilltoppers' who took some time to reflect on their own experiences as well as offer some advice for the team as they prepare for their North 2 Group 2 championship showdown against Madison.
We got a chance to catch up with some key players from past Summit championship teams. The former players vividly recalled details some of the most memorable moments of their Hilltopper careers' and offered some words of advice for this year's team as they preapre for the title game. Carl DeMuth '95 (two-time state champion: '93 and '94) I was fortunate enough to play in three state championships and won two; my junior and senior years in 1993 and 1994. We played Mendham both years. The 1993 game was one of the best games in Summit High School history. We were down 21-19 and scored with 20 seconds left to win 26-21. It was the most thrilling game and when the final seconds ticked off, the most thrilling moment of my life. The 1994 game…
