Summit Teen Performs in Macy's Parade

Performer Sarah Mason,13, makes her Macy's Thanksgiving Parade debut.

Sarah Mason, who recently moved to Summit performed a song marking the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade's 85th year. She joined other theater students during the opening number and will also help close the show with Santa Clause. Mason, who's been acting since 10, joins other Stagedoor Manor students from neighboring NJ areas. Many proud local mothers are no doubt watching along the parade route this morning. “I’m very excited. I think this is a great experience for her,” said Mason's mother Maurene Singer. She said she was happy her teen would be rejoining her friends from acting camp during the performance.  For Singer, a performer who studied with the lauded acting coach Stella Adler, seeing her daughter perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving …
