With a tied score at halftime, GL dominated much of the third and fourth quarter to defeat Summit's Oak Knoll, 54-44, Sunday night in the Union County Final at Kean University.

The Oak Knoll Girls’ Varsity Basketball team is heading to the Union County Tournament Final at Kean University this evening to face 3rd seed Gov. Livingston, who are the defending county champs. Tip off is 6 p.m. Oak Knoll, the 8th seed, enters the game 21-3 overall this season after pulling out recent victories over Linden (46-42) and Roselle Catholic (49-43). “It feels great to be in the Union County Finals. Rivals New Providence and Oak Knoll clashed in Summit Tuesday afternoon for a key conference basketball game, and the Lady Pioneers came out on top with a 37-33 win. New Providence improved to 10-0 in the conference and a 12-2 overall record.
