The NY Jets coach, who lives in Summit, 'did not deny causing the accident' after allegedly going through a red light.
New York Jets head football coach Rex Ryan of Summit, told authorities he was trying “to beat the light” when he apparently caused a minor three-car crash during the evening rush hour last week in Bethlehem, Pa., police said. The accident occurred at the intersection of Wyandotte and W. Third streets, just south of the Hill-to-Hill Bridge on Jan. 14 at 6:13 p.m. One eyewitness and the driver of one of the other two cars in the crash told police they saw a 2013 red Ford Mustang, which Ryan was driving, go through a red light as it traveled west along W. Third Street, police said. Though police said the investigation remains ongoing, the partially redacted accident report Bethlehem officials released Tuesday said Ryan received a written …

Area real estate agents say gated communities are scarce if that's his wish.
Is Tim Tebow trying to take Mark Sanchez's job and invade his neighborhood? That's what some were saying when a report surfaced over the weekend that the newest New York Jet was looking at a home in the gated community at the upscale Trump National Golf Club community in Bedminister. It also happens to contain the residence of the team's current starting quarterback. It's not hard to see why some were doing a double-take. After all, the most highly publicized backup quarterback ever has not only been getting all of the media attention, but that comes right after Sanchez signed a three-year contract extension. Many fans believe he's here to take Sanchez's job. But now his house? Then again, Tebow's options may be limited, according to area …

Note to Jets fans all over Union County: let the Tebowmania begin! The highly praised but heavily scrutinized quarterback will be suiting up in green and white next season after being traded Wednesday to the New York Jets for two draft picks. The announcement Tuesday that former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning had officially signed with the Denver Broncos not only made the Broncos an immediate playoff contender, it also meant media darling Tim Tebow was out of a starting job. No longer the starter, rumors began to fly Tuesday night that Tebow would be traded, with the Jets considered a possible destination. On Wednesday, FOXSports' Jay Glazer broke the news on Twitter that Tebow had in fact been traded to the New York Jets …

Jets coach pledges to bring the Hill City home another championship.
Oak Ridge Avenue residents who don't like football, or getting up early on a Saturday, may have been grumbling before 8 a.m. this morning when they got an unsolicited wake-up call. But as New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan was leaving home for the team's Florham Park headquarters, he was greeted by more than 100 people on his front lawn launching into a top-of-the-lungs chorus of J-E-T-S! JETS! JETS! JETS! A grinning Ryan waved and chatted with the people who braved the 13-degree temperatures left for the team's AFC Championship game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh. He hugged Summit High School football coach John Liberato and shook hands with Summit Mayor Jordan Glatt and other Jets fans before he backed his massive black …
