Summit UPS Store, Bonds of Courage Team Up For DVD Drive For Troops
Residents can drop off new and gently used DVDs at The UPS Store of Summit through Dec. 31, which will be shipped to troops overseas to watch during relaxation times.
Last January, The UPS Store of Summit, located at 55 Union Pl, held its first DVD Drive for the Troops. Antonietta LaVecchia, the store’s Manager, says that the original idea stemmed from wanting to do something special for their five year anniversary in Summit last year. “I wanted to thank the community and give back in some way,” she said. That’s when the idea was presented by Bonds of Courage, one of the area’s most valuable organizations, to work together for the DVD drive. Bonds of Courage is a 501 C(3) public charity serving active duty service members, post 9/11 veterans and their families.
