About Amy

Amy is a proud Summit resident for almost 18 years.  A graduate of Lake Forest College north of Chicago with an English literature degree, Amy couldn't wait to head back east to establish her career in New York City.  She spent her early years selling advertising at magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Redbook and Parenting, then met her perfectly fabulous husband Jim and settled in Summit.  Then, life got interesting.  Three kids later, she realized the key to their heart was a  good, old, home-cooked meal.  So, she wrote two cookbooks (Secrets of a Home Cook & Memoirs of a Home Cook) and teaches cooking classes at Kings in Short Hills.  You can usually find Amy in her kitchen which she calls her office as she enthusiastically conjures up new recipes for friends and family alike.

Hi Mason! So glad you see my columns. If only I could have done this instead of selling advertising way back when. It's much more fun. What's your new job and when can we get together? Maybe you could come with me on a lunch review? email me: acurrie7@verizon.net

Amy Currie! Looks like you're busy as ever cooking, writing, ETC ETC...! These are great entries on Patch. I still use your Memoirs of a Home Cook ALL the time. Hope your gang's well. We're all just fine here - the college stuff has started with Peter. What the heck?! I started a new job. Will call you soon to catch up. xo-Mason
