Pedestrian Improvement Project Will Begin Tuesday

Newly-aligned walkways and lighting enhancements are planned.

The Village Green Pedestrian Improvement Project begins Tuesday and continues through Nov. 15, according to the City of Summit.

The work zone will extend from Maple Street to Summit Avenue and Broad Street to Railroad Avenue and will be enclosed with fencing.

The scope of the project includes removal of interior walks, some tree removal, installation of newly-aligned walkways, and lighting enhancements. The City of Summit asks pedestrians to use caution and allow additional time to use the perimeter sidewalks during construction.
