Cooking studio demonstrations will be held between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

Kings Food Market is celebrating its newly-updated look with a weekend-long customer appreciation event that kicks off at 11 a.m. Friday feauring a pasta-ribbon cutting.

King's President and Chief Executive Officer Judy Spires, Summit Mayor Ellen Dickson and store manager Ken Rizzie will say a few words in honor of the occasion. Additionally, as part of its 'Act Against Hunger' initiative, Kings will make a $1,000 donation to St. Teresa’s Loaves & Fishes, a local non-profit committed to ending hunger in the Summit area.

Throughout the weekend the community is invited to take a look around while enjoying some signature tastings and Cooking Studio demonstrations, which will take place between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day. Consultations with nutrionists will also be available.

Kings' new features include outdoor dining, an expanded array of chef-inspired prepared foods, dairy and frozen offerings. Additions to the store’s prepared food selections include new, fresh salads, hot sandwiches and a variety of side dishes and entrees. The store will now feature energy efficient food cases as well.
